Homeward Pet Adoption Center is a privately-funded animal rescue and adoption organization, and cannot take in lost or stray animals.  We don’t have government contracts to provide animal control services.  Because of that, owners who’ve lost their pets aren’t looking for their missing animal at Homeward Pet.  A lost animal has a much better chance of being reunited with their owner when taken to the shelter that provides animal control services for the area in which the animal was found.  Those shelters often have resources to help reunite owners with lost pets, and are where an owner who lost a pet would be instructed to look.

King, Snohomish and Pierce Counties are divided into different jurisdictions, with specific facilities providing animal control for each jurisdiction.  Each shelter can only accept animals from specific jurisdictions.  Found pets and stray animals should be taken to the following facilities:
