The Homeward Pet clinic staff are always looking for ways to improve the efficiency and accuracy when providing medications to the animals in our care….
The first photo is the team putting a hairball remedy into syringes so the animal care staff can syringe the entire amount into the cats mouths at one time rather than small amounts on their fingers that can take half hour or more to get it all in and it’s messy!
The images on the right are of the contents from a giant bottle of Miralax that needed to be given in less than ¼ tsp doses. The team figured out that by putting the correct measurement into an empty pill capsule would help in reducing spillage, getting it all over themselves and waste.
