Homeward Pet celebrates 25 years of rescue, shelter and adoption in 2015!
Looking Back: May 2009 – Homeward Pet named Top 3 in “Best Favorite Local Charity” in Best of Western Washington.
This year, Homeward Pet Adoption Center celebrates 25 years as one of Washington State’s leading non-profit, no-kill animal shelters, with special events and adoption promotions throughout 2015. Serving the Greater Seattle area since 1990, Homeward Pet has matched over 25,000 dogs, cats, puppies and kittens with new, loving, forever families. Many of the animals given a second chance at Homeward Pet are rescued from shelters that are often forced to resort to euthanasia. The Homeward Pet Low Cost Spay & Neuter Clinic provides affordable surgeries for the pets of reduced income families, and the Homeward Pet Food Bank partners with 25 local retailers and 10+ area food banks and outreach programs to distribute pet food and supplies to families in need in our community.
As a privately funded 501(c)3 charity, Homeward Pet relies completely on donor support to help us provide food, shelter, vet care and more to each homeless cat or dog in our care. Over 75% of every dollar donated goes to the care of our animals.
