World Spay Day 2013

Low-cost spay/neuter available in King, Snohomish, Island and Skagit Counties.

As part of the international Spay Day campaign, Homeward Pet Adoption Center, along with shelter partners Community Cat Coalition, Everett Animal Services, Feral Cat Spay/Neuter Project, PAWS, Humane Society of Skagit Valley, King County Regional Animal Services, MEOW, NOAH, Pasado's Safe Haven, Purrfect Pals, Seattle Animal Shelter, Seattle Humane Society, WAIF, and local veterinary clinics in Snohomish, King, Island and Skagit Counties (in Washington State) will offer low-cost spay and neuter surgeries during the month of February. This annual effort helps end the suffering of unwanted and homeless animals in our community by preventing unplanned litters. Spaying and neutering is good for the community and a great way to help our animal friends live longer, healthier lives.

Who can participate?

Participating private clinics welcome clients regardless of income level who want to have their dog, cat, puppy or kitten spayed or neutered. If you are a low-income household, you may qualify for surgeries offered by the Shelter Partners, often at further reduced rates.

Look through the list of participating clinics below, and contact the clinic nearest you directly to make an appointment.

The following fees will apply for surgeries at participating clinics:

$40 for male or female cats or kittens
$55 - $100 for male or female dogs or puppies

(Additional charges may apply for animals who require vaccinations, are overweight, geriatric, in heat or have other medical conditions. Please confirm with the clinic.)

Can't make it during the Spay Day event?

Some clinics are offering low-cost spay and neuter appointments on other dates, please be sure to ask. You can also refer to a list of clinics that offer low-cost spay/neuter surgeries year-round.
