Street Team
This
position is great for those who are unable to commit to a weekly shift. It is also an excellent opportunity for those
families with children that do not meet the minimum age requirements for animal
care.
Description
Street Team volunteers work in an established
territory to help post flyers and maintain donation barrels. These flyers would include Pet of the Week
and Special Events such as fundraising and adoption event flyers.
Requirements:
·
Reliable transportation (whether you drive or not). This is an excellent opportunity for
families.
·
Good communication skills and the ability to represent Homeward Pet
well.
·
Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
·
Work independently and be receptive feedback from staff.
·
Have Microsoft Office Excel 2007 experience.
·
Ability to stay organized and self-motivated.
Duties include:
·
Ability to print high quality, color copies of flyers.
·
Keep in touch with the Volunteer Manager on a weekly basis.
·
Establish locations and obtain management’s approval for posting
flyers.
·
Maintain relationships with local businesses.
·
Empty donation barrels as needed and drop off donated goods at Homeward
Pet.
·
Attend meetings on a quarterly basis that end with tours of Homeward
Pet Adoption Center.
·
Maintain a spreadsheet with locations that you have posted flyers and
maintain donation barrels.
Time
Commitment
Volunteers can expect to donate approximately 4
hours per month. There is a 3 month
minimum commitment. For the proper upkeep
of the material, dependability is essential.

This position is not
eligible for high school or court ordered community service.
