4th of July Pet Safety Tips
The noise and commotion of Independence Day can be a frightening time for pets. Every year, animal shelters across the country receive a number of "July 4th" dogs; dogs that have run away due to fireworks celebrations and are rescued by animal control officers or good samaritans who take them to the safety of a local shelter.

Volunteer Opportunities
Our volunteers do more than just care for cats and dogs… an often overlooked role is helping to greet our potential adopters that come into the shelter or call on the phone. As a volunteer receptionist we look for individuals that have great people skills, have experience in customer service and are organized.
The best part of this volunteer role is watching the smiling faces of adopters when they walk out the front door with a new family member. To learn more about this volunteer position, please click here.

Kittens, Kittens and more Kittens...
Yes, kitten season is in full swing ~ those cute, playful little bundles of fur that everyone loves. So far this year, we have taken in twice as many kittens as last year at this same time and we are in need of kitten supplies: dry and wet food specifically for kittens, as well as cardboard scratchers.
If you are interested in donating supplies, you are welcome to drop them by the shelter any time between 9am-9pm, 7 days a week. We will gladly give you a tour and introduce you to all our babies.
