33rd Anniversary Open House Celebration

Let's Celebrate 34 years of matching pets to their forever homes.

In February of 1990, Homeward Pet – originally named Hooterville Pet Safehaus after an old cartoon – was founded on the belief that every adoptable animal would eventually find a safe, caring home. Our founder, Peggy Barnish, saw a need for a shelter without time limits in Greater Seattle. We continue this vision to this day.  Help us celebrate 34 years of saving lives.

Tour & Talk with Executive Director, Nanette McCann – Every Friday during February

Do you have questions, comments, ideas, just want a chance to see a bunch of cute animals?  Sign up for one of our Friday Tour & Talks with our Executive Director.  Tours will be limited to no more than 5 people each Friday so you’ll have plenty of time for a fully individualized experience!

Puppy Bowl Watch PartyPuppy Bowl Watch Party – February 11!

Are you Team Fluff or Team Ruff!  No matter which team you root for, you are in for a great time at our Puppy Bowl Watch Party!

Join us on February 11 at The 522 Taproom in Woodinville from 11-2.  It will be done in plenty of time to head off to your regular Big Game parties. Friends and family are welcome and there will be vegan/vegetarian food options for purchase in addition to the regular menu of food and beverages.

We’ll be cheering on 131 puppies from 73 shelters and rescues across the United States, including a special shout out to Homeward Pet (and one of our “Super” special puppies) at some point during the viewing!  We don’t know when that will be, so get there early so you don’t miss it!

Wear your Homeward Pet logo’d shirts to support team spirit! Pets are welcome but must be seated out on the patio. We can’t guarantee patio-ready weather.
