Getting started with your fundraiser

Fundraisers come in all shapes and sizes, from a small office bake sale to a black tie gala or city wide half marathon. If you’re looking for a way to support the animals at Homeward Pet, we’d love to help get you started.

Fundraising guidelines

Homeward Pet would love to support your event and will be able to:
  • Include your event on the Homeward Pet online calendar.
  • Provide Homeward Pet collateral to handout and display at your event.
  • Attend your special event as a guest speaker and or/provide volunteers to assist with your event as location and schedules allow.
Unfortunately we are not able to:
  • Solicit donations or sponsorships for your event.
  • Provide the Homeward Pet tax ID number (EIN) or 501(c)3 for donations to the event.
  • Accept or process financial transactions in relation to event production or expenses.
  • Allow event fees or sponsorship to be paid directly to Homeward Pet. We can accept direct charitable donations in honor of the event.
  • Sell Tickets, accept admission fees or handle event proceeds.

Set up a Facebook fundraiser to honor your pet

Share your fundraiser with your friends so they can help you reach your goals! And you can help more animals find their forever homes.

  • Click on search and type “fundraisers”
  • Choose the “Fundraisers” option
  • On desktop:
    In the top center click “Select nonprofit” and type in “Homeward Pet Adoption Center”
  • On mobile:
    Choose “Create Fundraiser” at the top select “Homeward Pet Adoption Center”
  • Update the details! Be ambitions with your goal amount. Set your end date as your pet’s birthday, your birthday, or another special date. Include your pet’s name in the title. Under “why are you raising money” update to make the opening paragraph more personal, including why you love Homeward Pet and info on your own pet.
  • Click “Create”
