The AVMA supports the concept of pediatric spay/neuter in dogs and cats in an effort to reduce the number of unwanted animals of these species. Just as for other veterinary medical and surgical procedures, veterinarians should use their best professional judgment based on the current scientific literature in deciding at what age spay/neuter should be performed on individual animals. The decision should be made by the animal’s owner in consultation with a veterinarian after discussing associated risks and benefits.

24PetWatch Microchip: $20 (includes registration)

All dogs and cats must be at least 3 months old, and 3lbs

We are not able to offer surgery for pets that are brachycephalic (meaning they have a very short muzzle i.e bulldogs, boston terriers, pugs, persian cats) because of a higher complication rate both during and post surgery. This is in an effort to keep everyone safe.

If you have a female dog or cat that is in heat, their spay surgery can typically still take place, but please be aware that there are additional risks involving increased bleeding during and after surgery. They may also need a longer recovery period when at home to rest and recuperate.

If, for any reason, your pet is unable to undergo surgery, clinic staff will reach out to discuss the situation and options to move forward.

Financial assistance may be available

After scheduling and completing paperwork, if you requested additional support, the Clinic Manager will contact you about qualification

Fees are adjusted at time of payment if you’re approved

Last Litter Program

Through our Last Litter Program, we are able to offer free spay surgeries for cats and dogs that are brought to our shelter with adoptable litters. Your mama cat or dog is spayed in our clinic, and she returns home with you the same day.

The kittens or puppies are surrendered to our shelter where they will be examined by our veterinarian, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before being adopted.

This program is subject to available space and resources. To learn more about this program, or to apply for assistance, please visit our Last Litter Program info page.

Important Update!

Due to staffing, we are currently doing Public Clinics once a month. If no appointments are visible, continue to check the website. Please do not call for an appointment
