Happy Tail – A Note from Bertie!

This is Bertie (formerly Norbert) letting you know just how things are going.  Ok, sure there’s a dog bed in just about every room for me and there’s a ramp so I can go up on the FoodGuy’s bed for pack time in the evening. But then I have to get off and sleep in my own bed, on the floor!  It’s Terrible, not fit for a pug at all .  Well, yes they take me for walks in the park, but it’s entirely too much walking and not nearly enough sniffing and peeing.  And I do get to go for lots of rides in the car, especially to Gramma’s house where she always has a treat for me. But yesterday, I went to her house three times and only got two treats, it’s inhumane!  A few times, the FoodGuy took me to a big white tent full of dogs that were all saying, “Hey, Hey” trying to get my attention. But the FoodGuy had a little pouch full of kibble and cheese, and he would give me a piece just for looking at him, or sitting and looking at him, or coming over to sit and look at him.  Back at home, he also gives me a little treat just for going outside through this funny little door in the wall. That’s ok, I guess. But look at the photo I sent along.  This is what I have to do just to get the attention I deserve, 100% of the time.  It’s cruel and I won’t…. Wait is someone in the kitchen? Gotta go.

Paws and Kisses,  Bertie

Peggy Takes A Bite!

Peggy Noll, our Community Development Director and head of Quality Control (apparently), samples the handmade dog cookies brought in by Michelle and her son, Max, who wanted to do something nice for our canine crew.  Well done, Max.  Two paws up from Peggy!

PS – Don’t worry, the dogs got to enjoy the rest of these delicious treats!

Happy Tails ~ Graham!

I think I can honestly say Graham… now Buster… has adjusted rather nicely to his new home.

He is now eating and drinking… and running the household!

He sleeps in bed with us most of the night… and Sam(the dog) is fine with that.

Buster likes to park himself on my desk as I try to write my stories. He just plops himself down… shoves the keyboard out of the way, rolls over and looks at me until I rub his tummy.

I’d call this another happy ending!

Happy Tail – Suzu!

Hello!  Hard to believe it’s only been a few months since we adopted our kitty from Homeward Pet!

Suzu (used to be Kenzie) is totally integrated into our lives and bringing us lots of love and fun times. Suzu is Japanese for “ringing bell”. She surprises us with her energy, zipping around our house and jumping high to catch the feather toy (we forgot how amazingly agile young cats are!). She is sweet and patient, too.  Our 2.5 years old  girl just adores her ! She likes to be the Big Sister around Suzu and gives her treats and gently pets her!

We feel so lucky to have found Suzu through Homeward Pet and enjoy having her as a member of our family!  Thank you for all that you do!

Happy Tail(s) – Harry and Lloyd

A Happy Tail from our Silver Anniversary Adoption Event:

Hi All,

Just wanted to send a cute photo of Harry and Lloyd (formerly Popsicle and Pixel).  I adopted them last Saturday, and this was Sunday evening.  They have settled in just fine, in fact they own the place :-).  They are the coolest kitties ever – I am in love!

Thank you for all you do to bring people and their BFF’s together!
Sincerely,  Janelle
