Big News About Homeward Pet’s Future

Dear Friend of Homeward Pet,

Happy New Year! And happy 30th Anniversary for Homeward Pet Adoption Center! As we head into 2020, we not only reflect on the past 30 years—and we’ve helped thousands of animals find safe homes—but also look toward our future and a vision to help even more.

We want to share that there are big changes in Homeward Pet’s future: we are moving soon! We were recently informed that the property owners will not be renewing our lease due to other plans for the space. We have until September 2021 to locate, build-out, and move into a new space.

As difficult as moving an animal shelter will be, we are more excited by the possibility of expanding our services and programs. Just a few of our dreams for our next shelter include outdoor fenced areas for off-leash playgroups and exercise; a second surgery suite for the clinic to provide additional care to animals in need; and a large classroom for community trainings and for events like kitten yoga.

The next two years will be full of challenges and opportunities for us, and we will definitely keep the community updated as we go along.
