When I retired from my career in software, I began volunteering as a dog walker at Homeward Pet. It’s been my passion ever since. I have now been a volunteer there for over 9 years, and have been on the board for 4. I am honored to be the current Board President and helping Homeward Pet into its next great chapter.

I am an avid reader and enjoy outdoors, gardening, and beer. I am a homebrewer, national ranked beer judge, and have organized many homebrew competitions. I live on a hobby farm with my husband and our critters.

Why do you volunteer your time as a board member?
My time as a dog care volunteer introduced me to the people, the passion and the mission at Homeward. Being a part of that is magical. There is no more rewarding feeling that seeing an animal I’ve helped go to a forever home. My work on the board lets me take an ever-greater role in this work.
