2023 Holiday Giving Tree
Hosting a Holiday Giving Tree at your business, or collecting these gifts from friends and family at a creative holiday gathering is a tangible way to help out the animals in need in your community!
Homeward Pet will provide hang-able tree ornaments with suggested donation amounts and/or links to our various wish lists for items that help in the care of the dogs and cats in the shelter. You can display the tags as ornaments on your giving tree in a common space, or do something new and creative with them that inspires the holiday spirit.
If you have any questions about the Holiday Giving Tree, please contact: Peggy Noll 425-488-4444 ext. 4004 or Paul Uhrig 425-488-4444 ext 4014
It’s simple to do:
- Fill out our digital agreement and we will reach out to you to schedule the packet pick up.
- Choose whether you want an individual (12), small (24) or a large pack (48) of ornaments with photos of featured pets on one side and an item from our wishlist on the other.
- You will be able to pick up your pack with the ornaments and the 8.5×11 or 11×17 poster promoting the program by the middle of November.
- How you display the ornaments is up to you, the creativity of your team, and the space you have to dedicate to this program. Past Giving Tree participants have done some of the following:
- An actual live or artificial “Christmas” Tree
- Smaller trees on desks or reception areas with only a few ornaments per tree
- Strung the ornaments as garlands on the front of reception desks, doors or windows
- A poster or wall cling “tree” with the ornaments taped on.
- Your customers/clients will choose an ornament, purchase the item listed and bring them back to your location. Depending on space, past participants have used barrels, put the items directly under the tree, or collected them in a hidden location in a box to deliver to us during the holidays.
- Most of all, we want you to have fun with the Giving Tree and to know that you are valued beyond measure. Items collected during the Giving Tree season often serve our shelter and the animals we care for well into the coming year. YOU truly do make a difference.
