From Left to Loved
You may remember reading about Tallulah, the cat who was abandoned at our doorstep last winter. After months of care, Tallulah found an amazing family who loves her just as much as she loves them. Her adopters recently were in touch with us to let us know how she has been doing.
“Tallulah is doing really well! Immediately, she became an important part of the family. She is such a sweet, in your lap cat! She loves cuddling with everyone in our family and with everyone who visits.
Tallulah and our granddaughter, McKenna have developed an inseparable bond. Their favorite game is fetch. McKenna throws a toy for Miss T. while calling “fetch” and Tallulah does indeed run for the toy, brings it back and drops it for another throw. Amazing! Physically Miss T. is doing quite well. Her fur has grown back and she is beautiful! You can sometimes still feel little bumps on her skin but not all over as we heard she had when arriving at Homeward Pet. We are continuing her prescription food to keep her healthy and she has such a great appetite! She will let you know when she needs her food! Our experience at Homeward Pet was incredible! We were impressed with everyone there. The care and compassion for the animals is evident from the moment you come into the adoption center. Honestly, we can’t thank you enough. Our granddaughter is the biggest benefactor of that. They are quite a sweet team. They sense each other’s needs in a way that makes your heart so happy. We know Tallulah was very sick when she arrived at Homeward Pet. A huge thank you to everyone who loved and helped her on the road back to good health. We think of you and the work you do often and are happy to support your efforts.” – Leslie.
When we originally shared Tallulah’s story during this year’s GiveBIG campaign, Homeward Pet supporters came through in a big way– raising more than $34,000 to help care for animals just like Tallulah. Thank you.
