Ugly Sweater Party: Online!

Good dogs, bad sweaters, and great wine…online!

Honestly, has there ever been a year when you needed wine more? We won’t be able to gather in person this year, but we want to bring some adorable animal photos, fine wine, and holiday brightness into your home!

All proceeds from this event go to helping our shelter animals have a warm and bright holiday season.

Bottle & Tasting Kit Sales

Stock up on your holiday gifts and help homeless animals have a warm holiday season! Purchase our custom-labeled wines from our friends at Northwest Cellars, and 25% of all purchases come back to Homeward Pet.

How to Order

  • Below you’ll see our custom Homeward Pet labels. Cute and festive, huh?
  • Click on the labels below to order, but be sure you write in the comments that you’d like the Homeward Pet label! Otherwise, you might get a label without a cat or dog… and we think that’d be just a shame.
  • Orders will be open from November 21st until December 20th, but order soon to make sure you get yours before the holidays!
  • Bottles and tasting kits can be picked up in person at Northwest Cellars or shipped.
Ooooops... Short-code related layout was not found!

Ugly Sweater Contest

We can’t see each other in person, but we’d still love to see your pet’s holiday spirit! Dress your pet up (dog, cat, ferret…we’re not picky!) in festive gear and send a photo over to our Community Engagement Manager, Natasha, at . You’ll be entered to win an animal-themed prize.

You have until December 18th to send in your photo. Then, we’ll post all the photos to our Facebook page, and the photo that receives the most likes by December 23rd will be our winner and the reigning monarch of furry holiday cheer.

What are you waiting for? Happy photo-taking!

Join Our Art Auction

In the current virtual world, we were looking for the best way to bring some joy to our supporters and give animal lovers a new way to shop for the holidays. We thought an art auction could be just the right fit! After all, it’s been almost a full year of staying home and seeing the same set of walls every day…who wouldn’t benefit from some fun, new art to bring joy to your home?

In this auction, you’ll see paintings and prints, figurines and photos, crafts and quilts, and even some DIY gift baskets! We have paintings that feature some of the past animals of Homeward Pet, and we have nature shots of bears, owls, and more. The style of art ranges from classical paintings to modern abstract, and there is sure to be something for everyone.

Let Miller Light Up Your Life

Do you turn into a slug during our Pacific Northwest falls and winters? Finding yourself spending too much time lounging on the sofa and not enough time getting outside and exploring nature? This time of the year it’s easy to let the long nights and rainy days get the best of you, but with Miller as your personal trainer, that won’t happen! Miller will keep you active and adventuring outdoors throughout all seasons.

Though Miller is 3 years old, he’s really just an oversized puppy, with a lot of enthusiasm, silly antics, spunk, and cuddles to give. He is a big guy, with a big personality! Miller bonds strongly with his people and is looking for humans that are home most of the time—and what better way for him to make sure you are sticking with your exercise routine?

Miller enjoys other dogs but can sometimes get grumbly, so he may prefer to be the only dog in his new home. Miller also is looking for a home that’s feline free. He thinks that cats sleep too much, which would not be conducive to you reaching your goals! If you’re ready to truly take in all life has to offer, Miller may be your perfect match!

House Hunters: Canine Edition

the face of roxy, a tan and white lab mix

Roxy is a 6-year-old lab mix looking for a very particular type of home. With a budget of unlimited face kisses and a career in modeling, can Roxy find the quiet bungalow she’s been looking for?

After arriving and doing an initial interview with the Homeward Pet House Hunting Team, Roxy let us know a few of her must-haves:

  • A collection of squeaky toys and adopters willing to toss them
  • Adopters who can appreciate her brains and make sure she has enough mental stimulation throughout the day so she can sleep soundly at night
  • A fenced yard where she can practice her zoomies
  • A house in a quieter area where she doesn’t have to worry about loud noises or unexpected visitors while enjoying time outside
  • A house where she can be queen of the castle and not have to share her space with other pets
  • And, most importantly, adopters who love her just as much as she loves them

If you’re in the Washington area and have a place that just feels too empty without an adorable dog inside, why not stop by and meet Roxy?
