Help Clear the Shelters! This Saturday, August 17, Homeward Pet will be offering fee-waived adoptions for all of our Overlooked Animals—our longest resident dogs and cats who just haven’t made the connection with the right family yet.
This weekend, we’re hoping to change that and send these sweet cats and loving dogs home! Read below to see if any of them are right for you or someone you know.
Clear the Shelters is sponsored by KING 5 and NBC/Telemundo stations.
Here are a few words from Alex himself!
“Featured on NPR’s All Things Considered, I have been offering cat exclusive grooming services in the cities of Woodinville and Shoreline since 2013. Services include lion cuts, teddy bears, baths, sanitary clips, ear cleaning and nail trims.

Help find a home for Amber, the best biscuit maker in western Washington! She’s been waiting for a home for several weeks, but we’re hoping to find her new family soon. Here are a few words from her foster mom, Jenny:
“Amber is a super sweet 10-year-old cat who came to Homeward Pet after her owner passed away. While she loved the staff and volunteers who cared for her in the shelter, her stress levels rose and she stopped eating. She refused food no matter what we tried, so she came home with me so she could be tube fed every 4-6 hours. After a week of tube feeding, she started eating on her own again! After a few more weeks of consistent eating, we were able to discontinue all of her medications, her bloodwork is now back to normal, and she’s feeling better than ever!
She purrs immediately when she sees people walk in the room and makes lots of happy feet biscuits ALL the time. She’s calm, quiet, clean, and just needs a soft place to spend the day. She cuddles in the bed with me at night and wakes me up with a soft nudge and meow if I sleep in too long. She’s been quite the perfect house guest and I love having her, but it’s time for her to find a family who will love her forever!”
