This weekend, Peggy, our Community Development Director, “earned” her Pet Lover Badge from Scout Troop #46719 who visited Homeward Pet to drop off the cat toys and dog treats they’d made, and say ‘hi’ to our thankful dogs and cats. Thank YOU! to these fantastic, pet-loving scouts…and congratulations, Peggy!

Cooper is a larger than life guy who needs a foster family! This beautiful 5-year-old Bluetick Coonhound recently tore his ACL, which will require surgery. We are hoping to find a quiet, calm foster home for him to recover. His ideal placement is with someone who is home enough to give him regular potty breaks and plenty of attention during his rehab (Homeward Pet will manage his medical care and expenses), and whose house is free of cats or other small animals. Post-surgery, Cooper will need to be kept on crate rest for several weeks and will gradually be allowed to increase his walking and exercise time. When Cooper is all healed up you will see just how much he loves to run, play and explore! He will make an amazing addition to any family. Cooper’s surgery will be scheduled as soon as we secure a foster home for his recovery. Can you or someone you know help him?
If you are interested in fostering Cooper please call Homeward Pet Adoption Center at 425-488-4444.
